Orphanage visit
Brief information of event :
The students of ETSA-IETE had an
opportunity to do things
differently on Sunday 15 th august 2021, when the ETSA-IETE co-ordinators visited
Vikas Anathasharam an
Orphanage in Sonawane Vasti Chikhali, to celebrate Independence Day with them. Vikas
Anath Ashram is
home for orphanage children.
Vikas Anath Ashram is an independent Orphanage home run by Mr. Mauli Harkal. At
present 40 to 45
orphan children between 3 to 18 years of age are living in Vikas Anath Ashram.
We reached the Orphanage at around 10.30 AM. The children of Vikas Anath Ashram were
very
pleasantly excited to receive the members. The students greeted us with great
enthusiasm. We also met
the caretaker. While interacting with the caretaker, we got to know the history of
the orphanage how it
was established.
ETSA-IETE co-coordinators on behalf of ETSA-IETE student forum donated some grains,
oil and
sugar to the orphanage.
It was a wonderful experience to be with them. This visit was an unforgettable one.
This noble cause of
spreading smiles and happiness among these less privileged children, gave immense
peace and
happiness to our team of students.
Outcome of the activity:
It was indeed very satisfying experience for team, as they could bring
smiles on children faces. They realized that one contribute and understand his /her
social
responsibilities towards society.
