Webinar on “Learn To Interface Sensors”


Brief information of event :
The ‘Learn To Interface Sensors’ was a one day online webinar organized by ETSA- IETE and Team Automatons.
Mr. Swapnil Inamdar B.E.(E&TC) , Miss. Utkarsha Chinchore , Mr.Aditya Pandey TE (E&TC) was the speakers for the session.
Mr.Swapnil Inamdar (Captain, Team Automatons) has 3 yrs of experience of participating in event and handling team with great enthusiasm. Miss.Utkarsha Chinchore works as an and circuit designer in the team and Mr.Aditya Pandey as an Electronic circuit designer.
They explained about the types of sensors and distance measuring sensors like ultrasonic sensor, IR sensor, TF mini sensor in brief.
The session got interesting as the students started interacting and started asking their queries to the speaker. After basics and introduction of sensors, they showed some live interfacing of sensors and coding part for the same.
They also showed the videos of project which they have made using these sensors and explained applications of them.
Lastly they concluded the session with a short summary and an interactive Q & A session. The session helped a lot of students to understand about the sensors, their types, interfacing sensors with different boards and some other concepts.


Outcome of the activity:
The session provided all the students a great knowledge about the “Sensors and their Interfacing” and how they are contributing in making human life more easy by helping in their daily chaos.

Webinar Financial Literacy Awareness Program


Brief information of event :
Department of Electronics and Telecommunications In Association with Electronics and Telecommunication students association (ETSA), Student Wellfare, Anti Ragging and Discipline Cell (SWAD) and Institute Social Responsibility Cell (ISR) arranged Financial Literacy Awareness Program for all students.
Mr. Sameer Pakale was the resource person of the session. He explained basic terminologies about finance, investments, tax saving and benefits etc.
The session helped a lot of students to understand about the financial awareness , investments etc.

Coding competition


Brief information of event :
Department of Electronics and Telecommunications in Association with ETSA- IETE student's Forum. had conducted a coding competition on hacker rank on Engineer’s day 15 th Sept. 2021 aiming to increase the problem solving skills of Students in which total 23 students participated. The event was conducted on hacker rank platform.
There were total 4 problem statements.
Level of coding problem statement was easy to moderate.

FestX


Name of the Event: FestX 2021-22
A three day virtual technical fest “FestX 2021-22” organized by Electronics and Telecommunication Student Association (ETSA ) in association with IETE-PCCoE Student Forum.

Date : 8 th October 2021 to 10 th October 2021.

Introduction :

A National level three day virtual technical fest “FestX 2021-22” organized by Electronics and Telecommunication Student Association (ETSA ) in association with IETE-PCCoE Student Forum
from 8 th October 2021 to 10 th October 2021. “FestX” focuses on achieving the desired skillset in a student by bringing forth various technical and non-technical events. The participants’ and winners’ received certificated whereas winners’ received prize money worth 15,000/-.

Objectives:
1. To provide students with a platform to present their ideas as well as projects.
2. To provide students an opportunity to showcase their programming and circuit designing skills.
3. To inculcate team spirit, build logical thinking and test general knowledge of the students.

No. of participants:
300+ students from all the colleges participated.

Inauguration of FestX and Online webinar on “Bridging the gap between campus to corporate”.


Date: 8 th October 2021

Introduction:
Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering had organized FestX inauguration and a webinar on campus to corporate journey in association with IETE - PCCoE student forum which was scheduled on 8 th October, 2021.Inauguration of FestX was done by our Chief Guest Dr. Ravindra Kharadkar. A non-technical webinar was organized for students which was covered by our guest speaker Mrs. Ankita Hemnani.
The topic of the webinar was “How to Embark on successful corporate journey and onwards”. Our guest speaker delivered the webinar and mainly focused goal setting during college life, finding resources for further studies, what is the equation of career success. She also introduced the Expedia group where she is currently working at.

Webinar on “Role of IoT in Industry 4.0 and Opportunities for Engineering graduates in IoT”



Date : 9 th October 2021

Introduction:
Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering had organized IoT Webinar and Inauguration in association with IETE - PCCoE student forum which was scheduled on day2 9 th October, 2021. IoT Webinar was organized for students which covered the latest topics in IoT by our guest speaker Mr. Shreyash Gajlekar. IoT club was also formed for the students of EnTC department to with an aim to keep up with latest trends in IoT which will be headed by Mr. Aajay Gaadhe.

Objectives:
1. This webinar was organised for students to learn latest trends and technologies in IoT.
2. IoT club was formed for EnTC students to cope up with the latest lessons in IoT.

About the Event:
The topic of the webinar was “Role of IoT in Industry 4.0 and Opportunities for Engineering graduates in IoT”. Our guest speaker delivered the webinar and mainly focused on opportunities created by IoT. He also mentioned competitions available on the internet regarding IoT sector for students to participate. He included role of IoT in industry as well.

No. of Participants: 243 Participants.

Idea Sparkle



Date : 9 th October 2021

Introduction:
Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering had organized Idea Sparkle in association with IETE-PCCoE student forum which was scheduled on 09 th October 2021. Idea Sparkle is a competition where the Team has to present an idea, model, or Software (maybe a Website or APP) including the problem, solution, and how it can be implemented.
Objective: To provide an opportunity to students to participate and compete with each other.

No. of Participants: 25 students.
No. of Teams: 11 teams.
Organizing Team: ETSA-IETE Student forum .

About the Event:
The event was scheduled from 12PM to 2PM on 9 th October 2021. A total of 11 teams (25 students) participated in the event. Event co-coordinators explained all the rules and instructions of the game to all participants and they were given time to present an Idea/Model/Software (maybe a Website or APP) including the problem, solution, and how it can be implemented.

Clash of Circuits.


Date: 10 th October 2021.

Introduction:
Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering had organized Clash of circuits in association with IETE - PCCoE student forum which was scheduled on 10 th October, 2021. Clash of circuits was an online circuit designing competition set out to find the ultimate ‘Barbarian king of circuits. Every participant will be provided with a scenario and will have to implement a circuit for tackling the given situation.

Objectives:
This event was organised for students to showcase their skills and shine by harnessing their strengths, technical abilities and knowledge in a competitive environment.

No. of Participants: 28 students.

About the Event:
The ‘Clash of Circuits’ was a one day competition organized by ETSA- IETE Student Forum under the Event FestX. The event was schedule at 10 am to 11 am on 10 th October 2021. A total of 28 students participated in the event. Participants were given 50 minutes to solve the problem statement and fill the submission form. The one who has designed the circuit properly and given the appropriate answers of the questions was declared as the winner of the competition. There were three winners of the competition.

Battle of Geeklords



Date : This event was conducted in two rounds on the following dates:
Round 1: 8 th October, 2021
Round 2: 10 th October, 2021

Introduction:
Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering had organized a Coding Competition named “Battle of Geeklords” in association with IETE-Student Forum which was scheduled on 08 th October, 2021. “Battle of Geeklords” was an online coding competition conducted in Two Rounds. The Rounds consisted of MCQ based tricky questions as well as brain-storming coding problems which students had to crack in the allotted time.
Objectives:
1. To provide students an opportunity to test their programming knowledge and logics.
2. To provide a common platform for students of various colleges to compete against each other and get to know where they stand.

About the Event:
This online coding competition was conducted in two rounds. All the participants were thoroughly guided with the rules of the event by the event coordinators.

Round 1:
1. Date: 8 th October, 2021 (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
2. Format: 10 MCQ’s + 2 Coding questions
3. Platform: Kahoot and HackerRank
Top 50% of the participants were qualified for Round 2.

Round 2:
1. Date: 10 th October, 2021 (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
2. Format: 4 Coding questions
3. Platform: HackerRank.
