Inauguration of ETSA and IETE with Guest Lecture by Shirish Sebastian

Brief information of event: The inauguration event of ETSA & IETE 2018-2019 took place on 16th July, 2019 followed by Gurupornima celebration. Program began with the felicitation of all the dignitaries and the felicitation of the new members of ETSA & IETE. Kashaf Shaikh , President of the ETSA took the privilege and introduced our newly recruited members and also showed a glimpse of event calendar 2019-20. Event followed by motivational speech by chief guest Mr. Sirish Sebestian, he delivered lecture on 'ENTREPRENEUR AND ITS FUTURE’. He described importance of entrepreneurs in today's world and many things about personality development. This was highly benefited and an interactive session.
Outcome of the activity:Platform provided by students for all students to groom overall personality development and management skills.

Infinito-2K19

Brief information of event: Idea competition “INFINITO-2K19” in association with IETE-PCCoE student forum was scheduled on 30th July , 09 and 10th August 2019 at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE),Pune. “INFINITO-2K19”, An exciting platform for student to showcase their idea in the field of Energy, Transport and Mobility ,Health and Hygiene, Quality Education, Woman Safety, Smart City and E-Governance. The students demonstrated their ideas and solutions by presenting models, case study or presentation.
Outcomes:1. Students got excellent platform to explore and present their ideas in various domain.
2. Following two groups ideas are promoted for patent process.

Brief information of event: Teacher's day is celebrated all over the world in commemoration of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. ETSA celebrated teacher's day on 5th Sept 2019. The event provided good and lively platform for students to interact with teachers. ETSA student team successfully coordinated the event.

Mini Drone Workshop

Brief information of event: Two days hands on “Drone Workshop” in association with PDC cell, E&Tc department and IEEE student chapter, PCCoE which was scheduled on 14th and 15th Sept 2019 at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE),Pune. Two days hands on “Drone Workshop” conducted by Mr. Sanil Thayyal (Technical Head) of ProTreX Technology Re-Xplained, Mumbai. Objective of the Two Days Hands On “Mini Drone Workshop” was to learn Aerodynamic and Flight controller programming used in drone along with PWM and PID controller in detail. Total 13 groups i.e. 68 students were benefitted through workshop Three groups of Symbiosis Engg College,Kiwale. One group of Modern PES Engg College of Engg,Pune and D.YP.CoE,Pune.
Outcome of the activity:Platform provided by students for all students to groom overall personality development and management skills.

Semester II

Visit to Orphanage

Brief information of event: Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Student Association (ETSA) has organized visit to orphanage Vikas Anath Ashram, Chikhali. On 19th Jan 2020.(Sunday). Total 15 students from the E&TC Student Association visited to the orphanage, interacted with the children by teaching their school subjects. Donation of books, food grains were offered to them.
Outcome of the activity:Understanding of social responsibility and involvement towards society.

Two days “PYTHON Workshop” organized by Electronics and Telecommunication Student Association(ETSA and IEEE- Student Forum,PCCoE)

Brief information of event: Two days hands on “PYTHON Workshop”in association with IEEE- Student Forum,PCCoE. Workshop conducted on 17th and 18th Feb.2020 at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE),Pune. Objective of the two Days Hands On “PYTHON Workshop” was to learn basics of PYTHON , automation using python and data scraping.
Mr.Shubham Chopade (PCCoE Allumi),Mr.Amaey Joshi(Student,Computer Dept,PCCoE) and Mr.Virag Umathe (Student,E&Tc Dept,PCCoE) was resource person for workshop.On both days, at the end online test is conducted for all participants through google form also feedback is taken in online mode from all participants.

Expert Guest Lectures

1. The lecture on “Cyber Crime and Law” for SE Students was conducted by Dr. Sonali Patil (Computer Department PCCOE) on 21st March 2018 . The lecture was organized to introduce the students with different types of cyber crime and investigation of cyber crime. Mrs. S.U.Deoghare, Mrs.M.S.Bhandarkar,Mrs.A.V.Bhamare, Mrs.I.B.Vyas and Mr.K.B.Kotangale successfully coordinated the event.
2. The lecture on “Embedded System Design Using MSP430” for TE Students was conducted by Mr. M.M Narkhede (E &Tc Department PCCOE) on 23rd March 2018 . The lecture was organized to introduce the students with complete application-building concept using 16-bit MSP430 series MCUs.Mrs. S.U.Deoghare, Mrs. M.S.Bhandarkar, Mrs.S.A Patil, Mr. U.R Shirode and Mr.A.S Gadhe successfully coordinated the event.
3. Mrs.Ashwini Shinde, Mr.S.S.Ayane, Mr.K.B Kotangle organized Guest lecture on “Future in E&TC” for TE, SE Students was conducted by Mr. Abhijeet K. Murgunde,(Emerson Malayisa) on 16th March 2018 at PCCOE. The lecture was organized to introduce and discuss with the students opporunities inCore ,PSU's plus MNC Companies,Exam related to ENGINEERING Domain, GATE 2019,Industrial requirements from E&TC.
4. Mrs. Rajani.P.K organized Guest Lecture on " Genetic Algorithm & its Application " for the BE E&TC (A,B,C) students under the subject "Soft Computing Techniques" by Dr. A.D.Thakare, Professor from Computer Department, PCCoE on 2nd Feb 2018.

Mrs. Rajani.P.K,Mr. M.M.Narkhede and Dr.N.B.Chopade arranged expert session on “MATLAB: through engineer’s perspective” by an industry expert Dr. Riddhi Ghosh, nical Evangelist at Mathworks India Pvt. Ltd was arranged for the TE/BE/ME E&TC/Mech/IT/Comp students under SIG Signal Processing and R&I on 28th Feb 2018.

Inaugural function of Center of Excellence for VLSI Design Lab and Advanced VLSI and Embedded Lab

Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, has received Center of Excellence for VLSI Design Lab and Advanced VLSI and Embedded Lab from CoreEL Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in association with Xilinx and Mentor Graphics. Inauguration of these labs has done by Mr. Ravi Bonapalli, Business Development Manager, Mentor Graphics and Ms. Sadiya Arshad, National Manager, CoreEL Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Banglore and Dr. A. M. Fulumbarkar, on 7th September 2017 at respective labs. Organizing Team: Dr. S. U. Bhandari, Dr. M. T. Kolte, Mrs. Varsha Bendre, Mrs. V. K. Harpale, Mrs. D. S. Khurge, Mrs. A. A. Shrivastava, Mrs. N. Workshops, Sessions and Add-On Courses

Two days Workshop on “Basic course on Image processing using MATLAB" in association with IETE-PCCOE student forum, Pune was scheduled during 29th to 30th July 2017. Dr.S.D.Thepade, Dr.N.B.Chopade ,Dr.K.S.Kinage, Prof.S.L.Tade, Prof.S.Y.Sawant, Prof.J.P.Joshi guided the students.The main objective of the workshop was To understand basic concepts and analyze various algorithms of Image Processing. & To expose students to different applications in the field of Digital Image Processing. 40 students got benefitted from this event. The event was co-ordinated by Prof. S. L. Tade, Prof. Sonali Sawant, Jayashri Joshi.

A two day’s workshop “Hands-on Training on AVR Microcontroller based Robots” was conducted on 22nd to 23rd July 2017 for T.E. students. A hands on training was imparted to the students on AVR microcontroller based robots which are sponsored by IIT,Bombay under the e-yantra lab initiative. Mr.A.B.Patil, Mrs. S.A. Patil and Mrs. A.M.Ekbote brief the necessity of robotics, actuators, sensors which was followed by detailed sessions.

One week STTP on “Electronics System Design”, in association with IETE-PCCOE student forum, Pune was scheduled during14th to 18th July 2017. The objective of this STTP was to provide in depth understanding of design of electronic circuits and systems with a focus on design of switched mode power supply, Data Acquisition System and design of communication block. Mr. Sanjay Joglekar, Kanaad Electromation Solutions Pvt Ltd, Sangli, Dr. Nilesh Uke, Dr. Pravin Futane, Mr. Manish Narkhede, Mr. Adarsha Sinha, guided the audience in this regard. 56 students alonwith 9 faculties got benefitted from this event. Dr. M. T. Kolte, Mrs. Varsha Bendre, Mrs. V. K. Harpale coordinated the event.

Workshop on “Microwave Systems Design and Testing” was conducted on 19th July 2017. Mr. Aniruddha S. Kulkarni, Senior R & D Engineer, MUMLAB guided the students. The purpose of the workshop was to make the students aware of high frequency design like Microstrip antenna, strip lines, Microwave components and there simulation testing. The different types of Micro strip lines and antennas designed and fabricated by students, one of the good designs of Ring Resonator was awarded with prize. Aniket Ghuge,Vikas Basankar, Somnath Birajdar, Harshal Chaudhari and Mayur Bankar were winners.

Workshop on “Antenna Design, Fabrication And Link Budget” by Mr. Aniruddha S.Kulkarni Senior R & D Engineer, AKADEMIKA labs solutions Pvt. Ltd. Pune. was organized on 14th February, 2017 for TE E&TC students coordinated by Mrs. S.V.Patil, Dr. K.S.Kinage, Mrs. S.R.Pawar.

Workshop on “Hands-on Training on AVR Microcontroller based Robots” Sponsored by IIT, Bombay under the e-yantra lab initiative was organized for T.E. and B.E.E & Tc students during 1st to 3rd December, 2016 coordinated by Mr. A.B.Patil, Mrs. S.A. Patil and Mrs. A.M.Ekbote with 18 participating students.

Workshop on “Hands-on Training on Ardinuo Microcontroller” for F.E ,S.E and T.E students was organized during 7th - 8th January 2017 coordinated by Mr. V.N.Patil, Mrs. S.A. Patil and Mrs. A.M.Ekbote. Mr. Adarsh Sinha, T.E E & Tc student, PCCoE was the resource person.

Workshop on “Hands-on Training on Raspberry Pi” for F.E to B.E students was organized during 14th - 15th January 2017 coordinated by Mr. V.N.Patil, Mrs. S.A. Patil and Mrs. A.M.Ekbote. Twinkle Pajiyar and Avinash Dwivedi from Engikart Pvt. Ltd. were the resource person.

Workshop on “Microsoft certification program on Cyber and Mobile Security” by ATS learning solutions was organized on 3rd - 4th April, 2017 coordinated by Mrs Jyoti S. Kulkarni for T.E. E & Tc students where 46 students received certification.

National Level Technical Symposium – Techlligent 2017

National Level Technical Symposium Techlligent 2017 was organized on 24th and 25th February 2017 for Engineering students to develop their Technical and Management Skills. Different events technical and non-technical events organised by E &Tc department: Amphiboat, Robodangal, Dumbsheronics, IPL maniaand Telequiz. Mr. S.S Ayne was the faculty Incharge for organising these events.

Expert Lecture on 'Application of Signals and Systems and Importance of Transforms’ was conducted by Dr.N.B Chopade , Head E &Tc Dept., PCCOE on on 11th september 2017 at 01:00 pm for S.E. E & Tc students .The main Objective of the Expert Lecture was to make the students aware of application of Signals and Systems in different domains like speech processong, image processing, communiaction etc. and importance of Transforms in signal processing. Mrs.M.S. Bhandarkar and Mrs. S.P Jagtap co-ordinated the lecture and around 220 students got benefitted.
Guest Lecture on 'Research Trends in Speech Signal Processing’ was conducted by Dr.M.S.Deshpande VIT Pune on 28th July 2017 at 10:00 am for B.E. E&Tc and PG students .The main Objectives of the Guest Lecture was to introduce the students with the basics of speech producing mechanism and different research topics in Speech signal processing. In this lecture Dr.M.S.Deshpande focused on speech producing mechanism and its mathematical model for same. He also introduced the hearing mechanism and perception of sound feature of speech alongwith applications of speech processing in different areas. The lecture created awareness in students which will help them to take speech processing as their area to carry out the work.
Mrs S.U Deoghare and Mrs.M.S. Bhandarkar co-ordinated the lecture and around 220 students got benefitted.
